In our third year working with Taylor Wimpey, we made sure that the report reflected and expanded upon the business’ new medium-term targets and revamped investment case.

The first order of business this year was to make certain that the entire report reflected broader investor relations goals. We achieved this by offering more detail and texture around Taylor Wimpey’s medium-term targets, set out several months earlier.

The first order of business this year was to make certain that the entire report reflected broader investor relations goals. We achieved this by offering more detail and texture around Taylor Wimpey’s medium-term targets, set out several months earlier.

Further, the Chief Executive’s strategic overview is significantly expanded versus previous years, offering greater context for the business’ strategic evolution, and explaining how the medium-term targets will be achieved. Meanwhile, a fair and balanced, editorial-style Q&A spread over three pages helps better explain Taylor Wimpey’s position and prospects in the context of an uncertain market.

The report also incorporates a great deal of strong, best-practice content – all updated and finessed as appropriate. A particular highlight is the highly-detailed business model description, which offers meaningful insight into what the company does, how it makes money, the resources and relationships it relies upon, and how the model is evolving.

The revamped investment case and accompanying medium-term targets are also picked up within the best-in-class governance section, with several pages given over to discussion of the Board’s role in adding value and making critical decisions as regards the evolving direction of the business.
