Breedon, a vertically-integrated construction materials business, came to us with a challenge: the company didn’t feel that their current reporting reflected their brand, position in the market or investment case. We were happy to take on the challenge, and to swiftly transform their report.

Our approach to the project was ‘revolution, not evolution’, and that’s reflected throughout the report. The design work is far stronger and more expressive, incorporating high-quality photography and several infographics, and messaging is far clearer, particularly around the investment case. The format was switched from portrait to landscape to reflect the fact that most reports are read on-screen in 2023, and various improvements were made to the content in terms of best-practice disclosure.

An essential industry: A new messaging section at the top of the report makes it clear how important the materials Breedon produces are for people’s lives and the economy.

Making the case: The enhanced investment case section includes numbers to back up the assertions made.

Looking ahead: Strategy reporting includes an overview of progress, future priorities, connected KPIs and risks and a relevant case study.
