Breedon reporting: communicating change

In our third year working with Breedon, a vertically-integrated construction materials business, we helped the company meet two big challenges: how to articulate an updated strategy, and how to discuss a sizeable acquisition. Building on the existing award-winning report, we helped Breedon to come up with bold messaging, new content and distinctive graphics which effectively communicated the change.

Breedon’s report features a distinctive visual language, up-front messaging focused on the updated strategy, and a best-practice, design-forward governance section. This year, Friend also designed the business’ capital markets day and full-year financial results presentations, which were produced in tandem with the report.

Making it happen

The report leads with messaging focused on the new strategy, matched with bold typography and high-quality imagery.

Business model in action

A six-page business model description incorporates ‘in action’ case studies, and offers investors meaningful insight into how Breedon operates and makes money.

Integrating an acquisition

New information relevant to Breedon’s new US business has been incorporated throughout the report in an effective and considered way.

Joining it all up

For the first time this year, we worked closely with the company on their capital markets day and year-end presentations, ensuring that the messaging and visuals were both consistent and effective.
