Rentokil Initial reporting: innovation in practice

Investors were sceptical about the benefits of innovation in Rentokil Initial’s world. This report shows them just how fundamental it is to the continuing success of this global leader.

We're pleased to say that the report has won a silver award, for 'Best Printed Annual Report' at the Corporate & Financial Awards 2020.

In our first year of working with the business, we helped them communicate how innovation is central to their success, while also reassessing the report’s narrative flow and the visual alignment with the brand.

Innovation runs throughout the report – from the cover title, the CEO’s Q&A, the business model and strategy, the business reviews to the six major case studies.

Five of the six questions in the CEO’s frank Q&A are devoted to innovation, providing real insight on purpose, culture and legislation. Among the many improvements to the report we combined the strategy, marketplace and performance coverage of the different business units to create comprehensive, individual reviews of each business while enhancing all aspects. Compelling case studies, like the non-toxic innovation story titled “Say hello to cockroaches’ worst nightmare”, include QR code links to video content.
