We helped Fortino Group create a cohesive yet flexible brand and digital presence that brings together its Private Equity and Venture Capital businesses under a single, unmistakable identity while allowing each to speak clearly to its own audience.
With continued growth across Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, Fortino Group saw an opportunity to clarify and strengthen its brand. Operating across both Private Equity and Venture Capital, Fortino needed a brand and website that could express two distinct investment propositions while remaining coherent, consistent, and unmistakably Fortino.
That’s where Friend came in. We worked closely with Fortino’s leadership to define a shared positioning and narrative that could flex across both businesses, while speaking clearly to different audiences. The challenge was deceptively simple: create separation without fragmentation, and clarity without duplication.
The resulting brand architecture is a small but intelligent family of brands. Private Equity and Venture Capital each have their own visual expression and tone, yet sit confidently within a unified Fortino identity. The system flexes across photography and illustration, allowing the brand to shift from human and founder-focused to strategic and institutional, depending on context.
A major touchpoint for bringing the brand to life was the new website. Working closely with Fortino’s website build partner, we shaped the user experience, structure, and visual direction to ensure the brand translated seamlessly into a live digital environment. Designed to work both as a single company presence and as two standalone experiences, the site balances clarity with flexibility –allowing users to explore Fortino as a group or dive deep into either investment strategy through clear messaging, confident visuals, and intuitive navigation.
Alongside the website, the refreshed brand was rolled out across a wide range of touchpoints, including stationery, a brand film, investor presentations, oversized banners, roll-ups, and event materials. The result is a coherent, scalable identity that supports Fortino’s ambitions today and provides a platform for continued growth across markets and strategies.
